Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to all reservations and stays at Hotel Finse 1222.
By confirming a booking, you agree to the conditions below.
Individual Bookings
Reservation & Confirmation - Individual bookings
A reservation is confirmed once written confirmation has been issued by Hotel Finse 1222.
Guests must be at least 18 years old to make a booking.
Valid contact details and payment information are required to secure the reservation.
A valid ID may be requested upon arrival.
Payment - Individual bookings
Card details are required at the time of booking to guarantee the reservation.
The full amount of the stay is charged upon booking.
Providing card details secures the reservation. Charges are processed according to the timeline above.
Cancellation - Individual bookings
Cancellation within 24 hours is fully refundable.
Cancellations made between 24 hours after booking and 14 days before arrival incur an administration fee of NOK 500.
Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival are non-refundable.
In case of no-show, the full amount of the stay will be charged.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing via our reception.
Changes to Reservation - Individual bookings
Date changes may be made up to 14 days before arrival, subject to availability.
Changes made after this period are treated as cancellations and follow the cancellation policy above.
Packages - Individual bookings
Packages are subject to their own cancellation & changes policy. See each package.
Check-In & Check-Out - Individual bookings
Check-in is from 15:00 on the day of arrival.
Check-out is by 11:00 on the day of departure.
Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request but cannot be guaranteed.
Responsibility & Conduct - Individual bookings
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to rooms or hotel property during their stay.
All indoor areas are non-smoking.
Additional cleaning or repair costs may be charged if policies are violated.
Guests are expected to respect other guests, staff, and the surrounding natural environment.
Liability & Force Majeure - Individual bookings
Hotel Finse 1222 is not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings unless caused by gross negligence.
The hotel reserves the right to cancel or adjust reservations due to circumstances beyond its control, including severe weather, transport interruptions, government restrictions, or safety concerns.
Cancellations due to weather conditions do not qualify for refund.
Insurance - Individual bookings
Guests are strongly advised to secure travel insurance covering illness, transport disruptions, and unforeseen events.
Photography & Marketing - Individual bookings
Hotel Finse 1222 may photograph or film common areas of the property for documentation and marketing purposes. By accepting these Terms & Conditions, guests acknowledge and consent to the possibility of appearing incidentally in such material. Guests who do not wish to appear in marketing material must notify the hotel via reception in writing prior to arrival. Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate such requests.
All photographs and video material produced by Hotel Finse 1222 remain the property of the hotel and may be used in marketing and promotional channels.
Rentals (for individual bookings)
Summer Rentals (Bicycles)
For overnight guests with bike rental included in their booking/package, the individual cancellation policies apply.
For day guests (without overnight stay)
Card details are required at the time of booking to guarantee the reservation.
The full amount of the rental is charged upon booking.
Providing card details secures the reservation. Charges are processed according to the timeline above.
Cancellations made less than 28 days before arrival are non-refundable.
Cancellations made between 24 hours after booking and 28 days before arrival incur an administration fee of NOK 100 per bicycle.
Winter Rentals (Skis, Snowshoes)
For overnight guests with winter rentals included in their booking/package, the individual cancellation policies apply.
For day guests (without overnight stay)
Card details are required at the time of booking to guarantee the reservation.
The full amount of the rental is charged upon booking.
Providing card details secures the reservation. Charges are processed according to the timeline above.
Cancellations made less than 28 days before arrival are non-refundable.
Cancellations made between 24 hours after booking and 28 days before arrival incur an administration fee of NOK 100 per rental.
Group Bookings & Events
Group bookings apply to reservations of 4 rooms or more, retreats, corporate stays, weddings, and private events.
Confirmation & Deposit – Group Bookings
All group bookings must be confirmed in writing.
A deposit of approximately 30% of the estimated total amount is normally required upon confirmation.
The booking becomes binding once the deposit has been received.
The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days prior to arrival, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For bookings made less than 30 days before arrival, full payment may be required upon confirmation.
Cancellation – Group Bookings
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
More than 8 weeks before arrival: no charge. Non-refundable deposit.
8–4 weeks before arrival: 50% of the total agreed amount
4–2 weeks before arrival: 80% of the total agreed amount
Less than 2 weeks before arrival: 100% of the total agreed amount
Reductions in rooms, nights, or participants are treated as partial cancellations and follow the same scale.
In case of no-show, 100% of the confirmed booking will be charged.
All cancellations or changes must be submitted in writing.
Participant Numbers – Group Bookings
An estimated number of participants must be provided at the time of booking.
Final numbers must be confirmed no later than 14 days before arrival.
The confirmed number forms the basis for billing.
Increases in participant numbers are subject to availability.
Food, Program & Activities – Group Bookings & Rentals
Agreed meal plans, meeting spaces, and activities are binding once confirmed.
Changes to pre-ordered meals or rental arrangements must be made within agreed deadlines & subject to special cancellation policies.
Mountain and weather conditions may require adjustments to scheduled activities for safety reasons.
Participation in activities is at the guest’s own risk.
Buy-Outs & Exclusive Use – Group Bookings
For exclusive use of the hotel (“buy-out”), minimum revenue requirements may apply.
If a booking covers a substantial portion of total capacity (e.g. 80% or more), full property rental may be required.
Weddings are offered as full buy-outs only.
Responsibility – Group Bookings
The group organizer is responsible for communicating these Terms & Conditions to all participants.
The organizer is financially responsible for any damage caused by participants during the stay.
Photography – Group Bookings
Hotel Finse 1222 may photograph or document group stays and events for marketing purposes.
By confirming a group booking, the organizer acknowledges that participants may appear incidentally in such material.
For exclusive-use bookings, including weddings,
The Hotel reserves the right to take photographs and/or video recordings of event spaces, including decorations, table settings, and general setup, for internal records and non-identifiable portfolio use. No prior agreement is required for such non-identifiable content.
We love sharing our guests’ special moments. If the Client is happy to share their official wedding photos or videos with us after receiving them from their photographer, we may feature these on our website or social media. We will always agree this with you in writing first, including how the images will be used and giving appropriate credit to you and your photographer.
The organizer is responsible for informing participants of these terms.
Insurance – Group Bookings
Organizers and participants are strongly advised to secure appropriate travel and cancellation insurance.
Governing Law - Individual & Group Bookings
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Norwegian law.
Any disputes shall be handled by the competent Norwegian courts.
