Hotel Finse 1222
Hotel Finse 1222 has been part of life on the mountain since 1909. For more than a century, we’ve welcomed travelers, adventurers, and guests from all over the world.
Finse is a small, roadless mountain community, reached by train, on foot, by bike, or on skis. Nature is always close, sometimes calm, sometimes wild, and always part of daily life.
There’s snow and skiing for much of the year (typically October to May), and great conditions for hiking and cycling during the warmer months (June to September).
What is it like to work here?
Working 1,222 meters above sea level is different, and that’s exactly why many choose Finse.
Life here is simple and close to nature. You live and work alongside your colleagues, and the community is small and social. Many people make lasting friendships during their time here.
Some periods are busy, and we expect flexibility when the hotel is full. Other times are calmer, giving you space to enjoy the mountains skiing, ski kiting, cycling, hiking, or simply being outdoors.
When you need a change of scenery, the train takes you to Geilo in 45 minutes, or to Voss in about an hour.

Tusenheimen lies approx. 100 m from the hotel entrance. It has 2 Floors with a kitchen and common area on each floor and shared separate showers & toilets.
Rooms each have their own dressers & storage
Rooms are equipped with either double or single beds
Linens & towels are provided by the hotel
Laundry can be found downstairs
We welcome couples & friends in shared rooms.
