You can travel to Finse from both Oslo and Bergen, with regular daily departures year-round.

When the train stops at Finse, you step straight out into the mountains.

Luggage & equipment

  • Skis, bikes, and outdoor equipment can be brought on the train (subject to train operator guidelines)

  • Winter conditions can be demanding. Sturdy footwear is recommended year-round

  • Weather can change quickly at this altitude, we reccomend packing wool layers.

Finse is a high-mountain environment, and conditions vary by season:

  • Summer & autumn: Open landscapes, cooler temperatures, rapid weather changes
