Cycle in the workers footsteps
Why cycle Rallarvegen?
Rallarvegen is not about speed or performance. Most people ride it for the experience.
It’s a day spent outdoors, moving through changing surroundings, with time to stop, look around and take breaks along the way.
The route runs between Haugastøl and Flåm, passing through Finse. It is mainly ridden one way, and combines long stretches of gravel road with varied terrain.
A typical day on Rallarvegen
Most riders start in the morning, cycle at a steady pace, and take breaks along the way. Some ride the full route in one day, while others split it into shorter stages.
There’s no set schedule, the day is shaped by your pace, the weather and how often you choose to stop.
Who is Rallarvegen suitable for?
Rallarvegen suits guests who are comfortable cycling longer distances on gravel roads.
You don’t need to be an athlete, but you should be used to spending several hours on a bike and riding in changing weather conditions.
