About us:

Hotel Finse 1222 has been in service at Finse for over 110 years. The hotel first opened in 1909 and has since been visited by all kinds of people.

Finse is a roadless, small community that you reach by train, on foot, on skis or on bike. It is occasionally a weather-hardy place, but mostly with stunning scenery right outside the window. It is skiable seven months a year, and lovely conditions for hiking and biking the other five. Winter is high season in March, April and May, while summer is the busiest in July, August and September.

The privately owned hotel has soul and cultural heritage. During the period of the corona, we kept closed and carried out a significant upgrade and redesign. Today, Hotel Finse 1222 is one of the best in its genre in Norway. We have a lot of bookings, and the guests are happy - a very good starting point for building good teams.

What do you get if you join?

It is a bit special to have a job 1222 meters above sea level. Finse is a small place, and the leisure offer is different than what you probably know from before. Nature is all around, and you have social interaction with those you work with. In other words, life on Finse is not an "ordinary" life, and many will say that you get to experience something very special.

Because the community is small, we who live there are closely connected. This gives you a good opportunity to get to know new people and make new friends.

The work at the hotel is sometimes very hectic, and occasionally we ask you to work a lot. But there are also more quiet periods where you get the opportunity to take in unique nature experiences. You can go skiing or ski-sailing, cycling or hiking in the mountains. You can be social and get to know the neighbours at Finsehytta. When you feel that you want some city life (understandable enough!), you can take the train, and in 45 minutes you are in the nearby town Geilo. Voss you reach in about an hour.

Most people who work with us leave Finse with memories and friends, for life. Some stay for a short period, while others have been with us for years. Do you think this sounds nice?

We are now hiring hotel employees who will be here from May, while some will start in early July. There will be a need for cleaners, bicycle repairers, waiters, receptionists and chefs. As a chef, we want you to be skilled. As for the other positions, we believe that we can train anyone who really wants to work in the service profession.

Those who work in the reception must be able to speak and understand Norwegian, while the others do well with English.

• We pay according to the tariff

• We fix that you get a room in a dormitory, but you are deducted for an amount for board / lodging
